The gifts of co creative circle
We are coming to the last piece of quite an unsettled summer weather wise and are heading back into our work in co creative circle in Auckland. It’s a new year, a new start. I have been reflecting on last year and what I would like to see in our journey for the new year.
We are moving our base to Sweet 7 in Ponsonby, I feel very excited by this and very much looking forward to joining you all again. For those who have expressed interest and are curious to what co creative circle is I thought I would attempt to explain here the power of this work.
We begin by coming together, setting up an altar, a medicine wheel. Placing the candles in each direction and the central point. We bring items to place on the altar that feel relevant to you. Each evening the altar has a particular feel to it, no time is the same. As we walk the wheel, listening to how our body responds as we move around you will begin to notice points that feel comfortable, those that are more awkward, there may be places that you wish to hurry through, others you just want to stay in. This is a process, a journey of surrender, of allowing something bigger to speak to us.
We find our place for the night, at times it may be the direction that are easy to be in, other nights we may chose to be where we may not feel so comfortable, here in this direction (or inbetween place) is your place as we open circle by acknowledging and lightening each candle. I deeply respect each persons direct relationship with the medicine wheel, and how it speaks to them. In this work we (often fumbling around at first), find what is true for us as individuals there is so much richness in our uniqueness, in our own creative expression.
From this place circle begins, each evening is different, we work at times with cacao, with plant spirits, lasavia essences, or flower medicine from my garden. We journey.
This is practice of feeling into what is true for you and how your story begins to unfold offers huge support for your walk in the world. Its not something that just happens but takes time and understanding to build up. Courage to look at all that you are( and not), see the mirrors that are always there.
